Privacy Consultant

we are seeking a skilled Privacy Consultant with 5-8 years of experience in data privacy, compliance, and regulatory advisory with a strong focus on India’s Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act. The ideal candidate will help us align the data protection strategies with regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance while enabling business objectives.


Location: WFO- Noida 5 Days working.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert guidance on the DPDP Act, data protection frameworks, and compliance requirements.
  • Conduct privacy impact assessments (PIAs), gap analyses, and risk assessments related to data privacy.
  • Develop and implement privacy policies, procedures, and data governance frameworks in line with the DPDP Act.
  • Advise stakeholders on data collection, processing, storage, and transfer to ensure regulatory adherence.
  • Support the development of privacy compliance programs, including employee training, audits, and incident response plans.
  • Work closely with our partners, legal, IT, security, and compliance teams to embed privacy-by-design principles into business processes.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes, enforcement trends, and emerging data protection laws in India and globally.
  • Assist clients in responding to data subject requests, regulatory inquiries, and data breach incidents.
  • Conduct workshops and training sessions on data privacy awareness for internal stakeholders and clients.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of experience in data privacy, compliance, or regulatory consulting.
  • In-depth knowledge of India’s DPDP Act and other global data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • Experience in conducting privacy risk assessments, DPIAs, and policy development.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, security controls, and cross-border data transfer mechanisms.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, advisory, and presentation skills.
  • Certifications such as CIPT, CIPM, CIPP, DCPP, or equivalent are preferred.
  • Ability to analyze legal and technical aspects of data privacy and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working in consulting firms, IT services, BFSI, healthcare, or technology sectors.
  • Familiarity with privacy-enhancing technologies (PETs), AI governance, and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Experience in handling regulatory audits and compliance reporting.
